Kitchen and Bath Vents

When remodeling or flipping a home, a fairly standard issue that comes up is lack of proper venting in the older houses. One would be surprised how many bathroom vents and range hoods we have had the pleasure of over the years. But I decided to put up this post of some of our greatest adventures in venting. One image is of a range hood vent we had to drill through a 4-brick-thick, double baked, double glazed, brick wall, built in the late 1800s. Just drilling the hole took almost 8 hours, and burnt up 3, – $30.00 bits. Another is of a triple set of vents, (Bath, Range Hood, Dryer) getting installed 30 feet up on an apartment building. They are not always easy, but getting a living space up to code is always worth the effort.
